Rock The Runway

On Saturday March 5th, 2011 The Royal Ontario Museum better known as the (ROM) was shut down for the evening.  Our afternoon began as we showed up and checked in, walking through the building brought nothing but smiles accompanied by childhood memories. We both couldn't believe we were booked for a show taking place in a spot that played part of our adolescence.
Late as usual ;) we both scrambled into Hair & Make-up, greeted by many similar faces, it felt good knowing we all were working towards the same goal.
For many the evening was delightful; surrounded by artifacts, and people that shared the same vision, we were both honoured to be part of the fourth annual "Rock the Runway" in support of War Child.

Hosted by one of Much musics past VJ's Sarah Taylor, the night began with cocktails and appetizers. As the audience took their seats backstage was nothing but madness! With over a hundred and fifty volunteers  the night slowly started to fall together.

2GIH was privileged to walk the line of our close friend/designer that goes by "BABY Steinberg" we had previously walked her line at Toronto LG Fashion Week last Spring/Summer season.  Unfortunately Baby wasn't present to witness her outstanding collection, with the speculations & word of mouth she was most defiantly anticipated with her head turning line "Salvage" - standing behind her strong belief: "Not all Trash is Garbage".

After we finished our show, we helped pack up our designers pieces & stayed around to check out a bit of the second half of the show. Interesting to say we weren't too sure this event was going to be that popular, after much speculation we were informed that it was official - the event was over capacity. With over Eight Hundred sold out seats! Many then settled for floor tickets. Watching the crowd from the back of the room was breathe taking, for once we can officially say "One Love, T.O"

Take a look at some behind the scenes photos, we will be posting some runway footage soon!
